Chiara Gauvin
My name is Chiara Gauvin, I am a circus artist specialized in Cyr Wheel and Hula-Hoop.
I practiced rhythmic gymnastics for a long time at the national level in France, before starting my circus training at the International Center for Arts in Movement in the south of France, then at the Regional Center for Circus Arts of Lomme. I then went to live new adventures in Italy, then on the other side of the ocean, in Quebec.
It is these trips, these adventures and these encounters that have made me evolve, broaden my perspective and nourish my curiosity.
I am very interested in gymnastics, but also in dance and music, which enrich my creations and my corporality.
Throughout my training, whether in Cyr Wheel or in Hula-Hoop, geometric shape has always had a special relationship with me ! This shape defines me very well, because a circle is always precise and in motion.

Je m’appelle Chiara Gauvin, artiste de cirque spécialisée en Roue Cyr et Hula-Hoop.
J’ai longtemps pratiqué la gymnastique rythmique au niveau national en France, avant de commencer ma formation circassienne au Centre International des Arts en Mouvement dans le sud de la France, puis au Centre Régional des Arts du Cirque de Lomme. Je suis ensuite partie vivre de nouvelles aventures en Italie, puis de l'autre côté de l’océan, à Québec.
Ce sont ces voyages, ces aventures et ces rencontres qui m'ont fait évoluer, élargir mon regard et nourrir ma curiosité.
Je m’intéresse beaucoup à la gymnastique, mais aussi à la danse et à la musique qui viennent enrichir mes créations et ma corporalité.
Tout au long de mes formations, que ce soit en Roue Cyr ou en Hula-Hoop, la forme géométrique du cercle a toujours eu une relation particulière avec moi ! Cette forme me définit très bien, car un cercle est toujours précis et en mouvement.
